In-Wall Pest Control Tube System Service for St. Louis Homes

Illustration of in-wall pest control tube system

If your home was built with pest control tubing inside the walls, you already have the hardest part installed. We activate it, service it, and keep pests out of the spaces you can't reach — whoever put the tubing in.

What is this small box on the outside of my house?

That's the service port for an in-wall pest control system.

When your home was framed, a pest control company ran thin tubing through the wall cavities before the drywall went up. The tubing ends at a port on your exterior wall, usually near the garage or a back corner. A technician connects to that port and applies pest control product inside the walls — the exact place insects travel and nest, and the one place a normal treatment can't reach.

Most homeowners never learn what the box is. Many buy a house with the system already installed and never activate it. It sits there doing nothing.

Whose sticker is on your port?

You may see a label from Pure Shield, Pest Shield, Taexx, or no label at all. It doesn't change what we can do. Pure Pest + Lawn services in-wall tubing systems regardless of which company installed them. If another company installed your system and no longer services your home, we'll take it over.

Treatment where pests actually live

Non-invasive for people. Extremely invasive for pests.

Pests don't live in the middle of your kitchen. They travel wall voids, plumbing penetrations, and framing gaps — behind the surfaces a baseboard spray never touches. In-wall tubing puts the product directly into that space.

No schedule disruptions
Treatments happen at the exterior port. You don't need to be home, and no one needs to come inside.

No product in your living space
Pests are handled inside the walls, before they ever reach a room you use.

Safe for people and pets
The application stays sealed inside the wall cavity, away from where your family and pets spend their time.

How in-wall pest control works

  1. The tubing is already there. Installed during construction, running through the wall cavities of your home.

  2. We connect at the exterior port. A technician hooks up to the box on your outside wall.

  3. Product travels the tubing. It disperses through the wall voids where insects gather and travel.

  4. We repeat on a schedule. Regular service keeps protection continuous rather than reactive.

In-Wall Pest Control Plans

Choose a plan after your initial inspection. One-time treatments are available, though a regular plan is what actually keeps pests away.

Does my house have in-wall pest control tubing?

In-wall systems are relatively new to the St. Louis market. Typically only homes built in the last 20 years have one, and only by certain builders.

They're most common in West County St. Louis and St. Charles County — especially Wentzville, St. Peters, Lake St. Louis, O'Fallon, Cottleville, and the surrounding area.

The fastest way to check: walk your exterior and look for a small port box, often near the garage or a rear corner. No box means no in-wall system — and we have plenty of other options for your home.

Frequently Asked Questions

My port says Pest Shield. Can you still service it?
Yes. We service in-wall pest control systems in St. Louis no matter which company installed the tubing or which sticker is on the port. If your previous provider has stopped servicing your area, we can pick it up.

My port says Taexx. Can you service that?
Yes. Taexx is one of the in-wall tubing systems builders install during construction. The tubing and the exterior port work the same way, and our technicians service them.

What's the difference between this and Pure Shield?
Pure Shield is our name for the in-wall systems our own team installed during construction. The service is identical either way — same treatment, same plans, same pricing. The name just reflects who ran the tubing.

Do I have to be home for service?
No. Treatments are performed at the exterior port, so there's no need to be home or to let anyone inside.

Is the treatment safe for my family and pets?
The application goes inside the wall cavity, sealed away from your living space. This is one of the main reasons homeowners prefer in-wall systems.

Does an in-wall plan only cover the port?
No. Your plan includes standard exterior service and treatment as needed — the in-wall system is an added layer, not a replacement.

What if I bought a house with a system I never activated?
Very common. The tubing stays in the walls regardless of whether anyone has used it. We can inspect it, confirm it's intact, and activate it.

Why do plans say "starting at"?
Pricing depends on the size of your home and which pests you want covered. The initial inspection gives you an exact number before you commit.
